Consecrated life is the fullness of Christian faith and baptismal consecration. This aspect of formation should enable the candidate discern her vocation and, acquiring knowledge about the promises. Through formation in consecrated life candidates are dedicated totally to God’s Word, and altogether available at the service of the Church and humanity at large. The purpose of this training is to achieve mental power, self-discipline, ability to take well-balanced decision and to evaluate rightly people and events.
Call to consecrated life is undoubtedly God’s gift. It demands the co-operation of the person called as well as that of the whole Society. The important ways to encourage our vocation are prayer, penance, prudent spiritual guidance, the formation based on faith received from the Christian community, etc.
Candidates are selected, according to their motive, age, family background, physical, mental and spiritual suitability etc. In order to be admitted into our Society, a candidate must have genuine motive, signs of true vocation, personality traits suited for consecrated life and freedom from legal impediments
Various Stages of our Formation
The newly professed religious who have completed the novitiate shall receive the special uniform of the Society and then make their profession for one year. On making their profession, their baptismal name and surname are added (House name) to their good (first) name and from then onwards they are known officially by this name.
